Well, so I'm not the first person to describe my donation experience. You'll still all be very pleased to know that my puncture is healing quite nicely. You can all sleep easy now.

Ah, right now I'm sitting here listening to the soothing clank of the steam radiators. That's something that I'm definitely going to miss once I head back to California. It's one of the sounds of Fall and unlike certain unfortunate souls, I'm set up quite nicely in the heating department. It seems that some unnamed institutions of higher learning compensate for their outrageous tuition by offering all the heat you can handle 24 blistering hours, 7 steamy days a week.

But, I still find myself a fan of the gentle clanking, the hiss of the escaping steam, and yes, even the occasional scalded ankle. * It's not quite as nostalgia-inducing as walking through fallen leaves or apple-picking, but it's good nonetheless.

*No, I'm not a masochist, my bed is just in close proximity to the radiator. Well, considering the smallness of my room, my bed is in close proximity to everything.
