So, I added a few little extras to my page this week. These are just a few of the pages that I check on daily. Everyone knows that the Shuttlecocks are awesome and what's more, they come from Santa Cruz, so that makes them naturally more interesting and witty . . . no favoritism there.
Today I realized that I've never really commented on the reasons for this page's existence. This is page is merely part of what my ridiculously expensive tuition entitles me. I'm not saying it hasn't been worth it, but . . . I woke up the other night thinking about the checks I will be sending to SallieMae for the next 10 years and had a merry little panic attack.
Luckily, equilibrium has been restored.
So, anyway, I thought you might like to know what I'm doing here on this little nugget of web space. I am a student, which means that I spend an inordinate amount of time on the internet. I never intended to be a part of the web, but I kinda got sucked into it. I had an internship at a museum and I ended up maintaining/mucking with one of it's sites. It's an interesting idea, but a horrible execution. The web chick who designed it is very talented, but it's just a bum page. You know, like those cars that have enough chronic problems to finally become lemons. It's started to look faded and dull and it is positively riddled with big fat factual errors. Neither of these are good things.
It's so bad that in this web-obsessed part of the world I don't even put it on my resume. I just pretend that I'm html semi-literate, but mysteriously un-published.
